I receive a lot of emails from readers who want to know if it’s possible to install remotely install iPhone software.
The super quick answer is big NO!
The reason that you can’t install iPhone spy software remote, is because all spy apps for the iPhone require that you install the app DIRECTLY on the iPhone. Installation is done via the iPhone’s web browser by entering in a URL provided by the iPhone spy vendor. You enter in the URL, the iPhone spy software downloads, and you continue to follow the instructions given.
There is no way to do this without having physical access to the iPhone you want to install the software on, this is why the #1 requirement (even before jailbreaking the iPhone), is that you must have physical access to the iPhone. Although technically possible, not a single iPhone spy software vendor is willing to offer this feature. To do so, could open up so many possibilities for abuse, that it’s just not worth it. The reason is that these type of apps are to be installed ONLY on an iPhone you own, or have consent to monitor. So if you can’t get access, then obviously it’s not your phone and you don’t have consent — which means you shouldn’t be trying to install it anyways.
So what should you do if you do have consent, and it is your phone, but for some strange reason you still cannot get physical access to the iPhone you want to monitor? The first thing is to NOT purchase any type of iPhone spy software that claims you don’t need physical access to the iPhone. Lots of vendors who sell bluetooth spy software claim you don’t need physical access, but unfortunately its all lies. What you should do is look for alternate ways to monitor them. For example, what two technology items are most used today? I’d say cell phones and computers. If you can’t get access to the iPhone, monitor their PC.
Any google search for “PC monitoring software” will turn up at least 40-50 different PC Spy vendors. My personal favorite is Sniper Spy, because it has a cool live monitoring feature and it does have a remote installation. If you think you “might” get access to the iPhone, what you could do is purchase Mobile Spy’s 1yr license @ $99.97 USD. The reason is for every purchase of an annual Mobile Spy license, you get a FREE copy of Sniper Spy — which is a $70 value. This will be better than spending $70 bucks on Sniper spy, then later on spending another $99 bucks on Mobile Spy.
Now you know, that no matter what you read online, there is no way to remotely install iPhone spy software. However, there are options available to you if you really need to monitor someone, but don’t have access to their phone. Also, remember, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY on iPhone spy products that claim you do not need access to the iPhone. You’ll just end up wasting your money.
